Jeremy Meeks, the crim with the hot mugshot that went viral a few weeks ago, has hired an agent to handle his business once he gets out from behind bars.
Meeks shot to fame (literally – he was arrested on weapons charges) when police in Stockton, California posted his mugshot on their Facebook page. It wasn’t because they thought he was hot though, apparently they post all recent arrests on Facebook. Weird.
In any case, people freaked the hell out over the beauteousness of Jeremy, with his pillow-lips, razor-sharp cheekbones and those eyes. Naturally, business-minded people in the entertainment world got right on that.
However, based on his new representation, it’s unlikely Jeremy will be the new Givenchy muse or face of Saint Laurent. The woman who’s signed him has previously taken on the likes of Michael Lohan, Nadya Suleman a.k.a. Octomon, and Teen Mom Farrah Abraham, who’s pursued a career in porn. Mind you, this rep, Gina Rodriquez comes from a porn background herself, so she’s very familiar with trying to turn one’s sordid past into a lucrative future.
‘Everybody has a story, and I, of all people, know that,’ Rodriguez told Fox411 . ‘The types of personalities that I work with are usually the people who are under fire by the media. If this was a different situation, like if someone was actually hurt or there was violence involved, I definitely wouldn't be taking him on. But we don’t know Jeremy’s full story yet, and I don’t feel like he got a fair break. I really don’t. If we can help him in any way with his future and help him turn his life around, that’s what I’m about. That’s what I want to do for him.’
Jeremy’s already spent nine years in prison and is currently behind bars on 11 charges, ranging from street gang membership to gun possession. That tear tattoo on his face? That’s a symbol that that his gang may have already killed one person. Also, he's a Crip.
Police are not feeling his newfound fame and set bail at $1.1m, which even Gina Rodriquez hasn’t come up with yet. However, she’s in talks with four production companies and three modelling agencies, and a reality show seems imminent.
