The wait is over, Harry Styles' debut solo single has landed.
Following an extended musical hiatus to pursue his acting career, the ex-One Direction star is back. Two weeks ago Styles sent fans into meltdown when a teaser for his first single appeared in the ad break for The Voice, and now we can hear what he has been working on in full.
Sign Of The Times, a guitar driven ballard, recieved its first play on The Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning.
Styles co-wrote the track with Jeff Bhasker - famed for working with the likes of Kanye West, Jay Z and Mark Ronson - when he spent two months in Jamaica writing the album.
'It’s a bit weird, I feel like I’ve been hibernating for so long now and you hear it in the safety of the studio and now it’s time to give birth … it’s the song I’m most proud of writing,' Styles told Nick Grimshaw after the song was first played.
Following the songs premiere, Styles stuck around for the rest of the show to chat to Grimshaw.
During the interview, Styles revealed the unusual present Adele gave him for his 21st birthday (a copy of her own album, 21), and revealed he'd played the album for Ed Sheeran for feedback.
