Harry Styles might have shot to fame almost four years ago when he auditioned for The X Factor and essentially charmed his way into One Direction, the biggest boyband in the world, but his cousin, who’s just six months younger hasn’t had the same luck musically.

That’s all set to change, though, as he’s in a band called Concept and they’re in The X Factor too this season.

Ben Selley, who’s a good few inches taller than Harry and a bit less cutesy-of-face – but still utterly handsome and bestowed with those piercing eyes – plays the guitar and sings in the group.

They ‘wowed’ – what else do the great acts do? – the judges with their rendition of Labrinth’s Earthquake, which you can watch here:

And lo-and-behold, they’re through to the next round of the competition.

A source told The Sun that Harry’s given Ben his blessing: ‘Ben told Harry he was going for the show and he backed him. But he didn’t tell anyone on the show that he was his cousin until this weekend. He and the rest of the band wanted to go through because they deserved it, or not at all. They don’t see themselves as 1D successors. They are more rock inspired.’

Whatever they are, they’re set for big things. Right now, we can see Ben’s personal Facebook page, and it says his employer is SYCO, Simon Cowell’s record company. It doesn’t mean Concept are definitely signed or anything, but it looks incredibly likely they’ll make it into the live shows.

They’ve had a lot of practice already, having supported people like Example, Diversity, Joe McElderry, and, um, Lovable Rogues. Plus, betting shop William Hill is giving 28/1 odds that they'll come out on top (unlike One Direction, who actually came third in 2010's contest).

What else do you need to know about Ben? He’s got over 100,000 Twitter followers already. He’s been part of Concept for almost as long as Harry’s been in One Direction (three and a half years). His vocal delivery is much less raspy-throaty than his curly-coiffed cousin’s. Oh, and as for his hair, he’s totally (soft) rocking that side-swept fringe Harry used to have, except his hair’s just a little less curly.

Will Ben eventually tattoo his entire body and grow said hair until he can’t leave the house without a wide-brimmed Quaker hat on? Only time will tell.
