Harry Styles has thrilled fans all over the world by strategically avoiding ruling out a One Direction reunion.
The global megastar appeared on James Corden's final Late Late Show last night (27 April) and was quizzed during the segment Spill Your Guts or Eat Your Guts about coming together again with his former bandmates.
Harry, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan were put together on The X Factor in 2010 and achieved worldwide success. They went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016 to pursue solo projects.
But Harry, 29, has given fans hope they might not have seen the last of 1D.
In answer to 'yes or no, will there be a One Direction reunion?', Harry replied, 'I think I would never say never to that. If there was a time when we wanted to do it, I don’t see why we wouldn’t.'

In February, the Watermelon Sugar singer honoured his bandmates when he accepted his award for Artist of the Year at the Brit Awards.
He said in part of his acceptance speech, 'I want to thank my mum for signing me up for X Factor without telling me, so I literally wouldn't be here without you. I want to thank Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn because I wouldn't be here without you either. Thank you so much.'
And last month, it was reported that Liam is 'desperate' to get back on the road with the boys - who are behind smash hits such as What Makes You Beautiful, Little Things and Best Song Ever.
A source told OK!, 'His solo career hasn’t remained as successful as he hoped it would, and work has become stagnant for him. In contrast, he can see how well Harry is doing and he’d love that level of stardom for himself.
'He knows he’s somewhat fallen out of favour with the public, and believes the only way he’ll be able to win back his fans is with a One Direction reunion.'
Louis has not been as forthcoming. In November 2022, he confessed to The Telegraph that owing to them all making 'different music' and being 'busy all the time,' he didn't see anything happening for another 'ten years'. He did optimistically add, 'but you never know'.
Niall - whose third album is set to be released in June - weighed in on the prospect of a reunion during an appearance on the Jonathan Ross show in May 2021, saying he 'didn't know' if the band would reform.
'Of course, if everyone wanted to do it, I'd be down for it… you kind of need to all get in the same room and have the chat, but I don't know when that would be… Having the same opinion is going to be always hard. Unless everyone was completely in, I wouldn't want to do it. I wouldn't want to force someone into doing it.
Zayn hasn't publicly given his view on the possibility of a reunion, but did send fans speculating last year when he shared a clip of him singing the band's 2014 track Night Changes.
