When someone says to us 'Heather from The OC' our immediate response is:
‘The games one?’
‘Was she the one who gets fingered by Luke in Tijuana so Marissa goes off and kills herself?’
‘See, I love The OC, but I’m so much more of a Dawson’s Creek girl’
‘What about that bitchy one who drugs Marissa?’
‘I can’t believe that The OC is ten years old!’
But Harry Styles’s immediate response, despite being way too young to have got anything from the programme the first time around – he was ten when it first aired in the UK – might be ‘she’s my girlfriend’. Or, at the very least ‘she’s the woman I was with when I gave my sandwich to a paparazzi last night.'
Don't worry, we'll explain. It goes like this: Harry Styles was spotted outside an LA coffee shop with a lovely-looking blonde late last night.
Though TMZ, whose tenacious video-paparazzo filmed the pair leaving the venue and being driven off in an SUV, haven’t confirmed who the blonde is, eagle-eyed commenters have worked out that she is probably Erin Foster. That is the 31-year-old actress who played Heather in The OC and used to go out with Samantha Ronson up until recently. Yes, Samantha Ronson who went out with Lindsay Lohan and dresses exactly like Harry Styles.
So what about the sandwich part? Well, ignoring the pap’s ridiculous line of questioning about One Direction’s supposed rivals The Wanted going on their seemingly euphemistic ‘break’, Harry offers the pap his ‘ummm…burger’. We hate to be pinikity but it's actually a patty melt, because it’s a burger between fried slices of bread, and believe us, we’ve had enough hangovers to know what one of those guys looks like. But, despite his sloth-like speech patterns and inability to remember the food he’s just bought, maybe Harry is a genius in handing over his take-out? Here are some potential reasons why:

He made the meat the centrepoint of a story that might have otherwise been about him with a hot young blonde who is a) Not Kendall Jenner, who he’s meant to be dating b) Samantha Ronson’s ex!?

Carbs are actually out-of-bounds for all Directioners and Kardashian hangers-on, and Harry was legitimately more worried that he’d been spotted eating fried bread than with another woman.

Or maybe, just maybe, he wasn't that hungry anymore.
