It’s been an exciting year for Harry Potter fans. We’ve had the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage production in the West End (if you’ve been lucky enough to bag a ticket), the book of said play, and we've got the film of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to look forward to in November.
Now, we have some additional reading material to get stuck into. Pottermore, the digital publishing world founded by Rowling for fans of Potter- has released three new books.
‘Pottermore Presents’ will be in the form of three bite-sized eBooks, and according to Pottermore.com will ‘dig deep into the Harry Potter stories, with titbits taken from Pottermore’s archives and original writing from J.K. Rowling’.
‘J.K. Rowling’s writing in these collections reveals intricate details of her characters’ lives, their histories, as well as her inspiration,’ Pottermore chief executive Susan Jurevics said in a statement.
The first book, Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide will focus on the beloved wizarding school itself, the second, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Political and Pesky Poltergeists explores the darker roots of the wizarding world, and the third, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies celebrates the colourful staff of Hogwarts.
Hitting virtual shelves on the 6th September, the eBooks will be available to download from the Pottermore site and other digital publishers.
