Harry Brant - son of model Stephanie Seymour - has passed away, aged 24, with his family confirming that Harry died due to an accidental prescription drug overdose.

In a statement, the family said: ‘We will forever be saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease. He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never get the chance to see how much more Harry could have done. Harry was not just our son. He was also a wonderful brother, loving grandson, favorite uncle and a caring friend. He was a creative, loving and powerful soul that brought light into so many people’s hearts. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out. '

Harry - the son of Stephanie, 52, and billionaire husband Peter Brant, 73 - was a model, like his mother, and appeared in campaigns for the likes of Balmain and Italian Vogue. With his brother Peter, he was a fixture on the front row at many fashion shows - and the pair also helped to create a unisex make-up line for MAC Cosmetics. He also wrote for his father's Interview magazine, his most recent piece being an interview with Marc Jacobs about dismantling the stigma of men wearing make-up.

Harry also famously attended the Met Gala when he was just 16. Since his passing, fashion designers from Roberto Cavalli to Olivier Theyskens have paid their respects. In Harry's last Instagram post on January 7, he paid tribute to French stylist and art director Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, with a throwback picture of the stylist alongside himself and Miley Cyrus.

The model struggled with addiction for several years, with his family saying that his death came days before he was due to go to rehab.
