Harper Beckham, David and Victoria’s youngest child and only daughter, turns six today, an occasion which necessitated a whole weekend of celebrations, from a low-key family get-together in the garden to a full-blown visit to Buckingham Palace.
On Saturday, the littlest Beckham was the centre of attention at a family gathering, with a photo posted to Victoria’s Instagram revealing that Harper’s grandparents, uncles and aunts were on hand for the celebrations. ‘Family day to celebrate Harper’s birthday x We love [you] all so much x kisses,’ she captioned the image, before signing off with her trademark VB.
Victoria’s Instagram stories gave further insight into the celebrations, with one post showing a chilled-out David relaxing with a drink in the garden, with a plate of home-made birthday treats in the foreground, while another showed the former footballer icing a butterfly-shaped biscuit. ‘Birthday party icing! So creative!’ Victoria wrote, before poking fun at her husband’s decorating skills by drawing attention to a gingerbread woman iced with a dark bob. ‘Posh Spice or Dawn French? Nice icing @davidbeckham,’ she joked.
This being a Beckham birthday, the celebrations didn’t end there. Sunday saw Harper and a gang of friends head to Buckingham Palace (yes, really) for the royal treatment. Dressed up in their fairytale finery, the youngsters met a real-life Princess, Eugenie, before reportedly embarking on the tour of the palace. The perks of being a Beckham, hey.
