In the latest issue of Interview, Eddie Redmayne gets interviewed by Jennifer Lawrence and it's as funny, quotable and cool as you'd imagine anything involving JLaw to be. The woman is as good at asking questions as she is a quotes machine, with Eddie remaining - as always - an icredibly British (if sweary) adorable adorbs machine.
Here are the highlights, for those of you who have incredibly busy lives and just don't have time to read the whole thing:
Jennifer Lawrence likes Chinese food
A lot. In fact, she admits to having eaten it for breakfast - which we definitely have never in no way done. 'I had it for dinner and breakfast, and I ordered so much that I'll probably have it for lunch,' she tells Eddie, who is inspired by her love of takeaway 'to go and have a shitload of pasta while I'm here.'
Eddie's wife thinks he's too skinny
After marrying his girlfriend in December, Eddie immediately went off to film The Theory of Everything - and she's noticed he's looking underweight: 'My wife saw some photos of me at the L.A. premiere, and she's like, "Ed, you're looking underweight."
'I said, "Baby, I've got loads of sushi and juices." And she was like, "That's not what I'm talking about! I'm talking a fucking gigantic bowl of spaghetti Bolognese and a burger."'
This makes Jen way jealous, because while Eddie gets skinny on press tours - she reckons she always puts on weight 'Because all I can eat is fast, hotel food'.
He doesn't have any hobbies (but he does, actually)
JLaw asked him the worst, most stressful question ever: do you have any hobbies? Maybe in the 1950s people painted and danced and sang or whatever, but now we're all way to overworked to do anything: 'What do I do? I don't know. I'm really sh*t at the piano. I play the piano. I occasionally try to pretend to paint, again, badly. But this is the great luxury of not working: the moment you read a book that has nothing to do with work, you know you're really relaxed.' Er, you paint and play the piano? We reckon that counts as a hobby, Eddie.
JLaw and Eddie both LOVE reality TV
Especially the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. JLaw reminisces about the time she met Lisa Vanderpump: 'I had her sign a bottle of vodka, and when she gave it to my friend who was with me at the Oscars, my friend said, 'Jennifer, this is so much better than the Oscars,'" and Eddie gets equally animated, because he used to 'come home from trying to pretend to know about astronomy and physics all day and turn on The Real Housewives', being a 'closet lover of faux-realty TV since The Hills'.
'Occasionally Audrina [Patridge] or Whitney [Port] will be on a website that I shouldn't be looking at, and I'm like, 'You know, I just want to check that they're doing all right, because it's my youth,' he tells Jennifer. 'And the depressing thing is that it's not my youth. I was too old to be watching those programs when I was watching them,' he says. Aww, you guys.
