Gwyneth Paltrow{
Her stylist Elizabeth Saltzman had originally explained why the actress was walking a bit weirdly. Hint: it’s not because she overdid leg day. Rather, it’s because of the gorgeous Valentino dress she was wearing - which Gwyneth did not want to spoil, even if that affected her mobility.
'That's because in 1963 there were no back slits,’ the stylist told The Hollywood Reporter. ‘It was not that she was having this fabulous walk, which she already has. In order to keep the dress authentic, I didn't want to change Mr. Valentino's design.'
And now Gwyneth herself has spoken out on the matter, saying that she thinks she looks 'pretty normal'. 'I don't totally get it,' Paltrow told Today show host Savannah Guthrie on Thursday, adding, 'I think I look pretty normal.' She also explained that the walk was because of the dress. 'There was no slit in the back of the dress because it was from 1963, a couture Valentino gown, so I didn't want to chop a slit in it.'
After her awkward shuffle, Gwyneth presented the award for best leading actress in a drama to Jodie Comer{
While it’s unsurprising the Liverpudlian was crowned best actress, she couldn’t believe her luck when the star called her name, as she revealed in her acceptance speech that she didn’t even invite her parents - because she didn’t think she’d get the accolade.
Winning with grace, the actress also gave a shout-out to her nominated co-star Sandra Oh saying: ‘Safe to say, Sandra, that this Killing Eve journey has been an absolute whirlwind.’
