Happy Birthday Apple! Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Sweet Tribute As Her Daughter Turns 16

Happy birthday to Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple{ =nofollow}, who has turned 16 in quarantine. The actress shared rare pictures of her daughter, as she wrote a sweet tribute in honour of her big day. ‘I can’t believe I’m actually writing these words but... happy sweet sixteen my darling girl,’ Gwyneth wrote.

‘You are the light of my heart, you are pure joy,' she continued. ‘You are wickedly intelligent and you have the best, most dry, most brilliant sense of humour. I have the best time being your mom. I love our nightly evening chats when I really get to hear what’s on your mind. You work hard to get whatever it is you want to achieve, and you have grit and responsibility in spades. I am so damn lucky to be your mother, you beautiful, kind young woman. Thank you for choosing me. I adore you to the moon and back a zillion times.’

Hundreds of fans have commented their well wishes, with many pointing out just how similar Apple looks to her mum. 'Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree - gorgeous,' one wrote.

Gwyneth finished the post by acknowledging that Apple’s 16th probably wasn’t what she was expecting, due to coronavirus. ‘I’m sorry you are having this particular birthday during these circumstances, but as always with you, you find the best in everything,’ she said.

Apple was born to the Oscar winner and her ex husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin in May 2004. Gwyneth also shares 14-year-old son Moses with Chris, before they ‘consciously uncoupled’ in 2015 following 10 years of marriage. In September 2018, Gwyneth wed American Horror Story creator Brad Falchuk.
