It seems that there’s hope yet for the world’s most genetically blessed power couple: Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have been photographed kissing in New York, leading us to reasonably deduce that the pair are very much back on, having previously confirmed their break-up back in March.
In new photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the pair are shown heading out for coffee before engaging in some very unsubtle, really quite blatant public displays of affection (sweet when you’re a supermodel and a former member of One Direction; less so when you’re blocking the pavement and incurring the wrath of angry commuters). Gigi doesn’t even seem particularly perturbed by Zayn’s latest piece of body art, a huge tattoo that winds its way around his skull, which is almost certainly a side effect of true love.
Previously rumoured to be engaged, the couple both released statements confirming that they’d parted ways in March, after newspaper reports revealed they’d separated due to that classic celebrity cocktail of work pressures and conflicting schedules.
‘Break-up statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years… not only in the relationship, but in life in general. I’m forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons that Z and I shared,’ Gigi wrote, adding that she ‘want[s] nothing but the best for [Zayn] and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for.’ She did, however, appear to leave room for a potential reconciliation, rounding off her statement with: ‘As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be.’
