Last month, Ghostbusters III filmmakers confirmed that Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is being approached to take the helm, and that the movie might boast an all-female lead cast. The internet exploded into a shower of 'That'd be kick-ass!' to 'Why are they making another Ghostbusters?!' to 'I hate women'. Now, Bill Murray's voiced his support and put forward casting suggestions in the shape of Kristen Wiig, Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy and Linda Cardellini. However, the reaction on the internet has not changed one iota.
The main issue, of course, should be 'Why are they making another Ghostbusters?' rather than 'I hate women' but, with yawning predictability, even Bill's thumbs up hasn't stopped those who are taken aback that women would be able to leave the kitchen long enough to film an entire movie.

Paul Feig already responded to the wave of disappointed Ghostbusters fans early last month: 'Interesting how making a movie with men in the lead roles is normal, but making a movie with women in the lead roles is a "gimmick." #its2014'.
