Love Island and Celebs on the Ranch star Georgia Steel is dating a convicted fraudster who was jailed for four years after he pretended to be ex-Chelsea footballer Gael Kakuta.
Georgia and Medi Abalimba - who've reportedly been dating for several weeks - were spotted looking loved-up on a date in central London recently; with Medi now revealing he wasn't honest about his past with Georgia until press contacted the star.
Describing their relationship to The Sun as a 'beauty and beast story,' Medi said: "I told her everything. She wasn’t judgmental. I don’t want her career affected."
He added: "We like each other, we are getting on she’s a good girl. It’s a beauty and the beast story. I’m considered a monster, but she doesn’t judge me."
Medi was a promising teenage footballer who was earning a £1,000-a-week at 16 years old. He auditioned for Manchester City and Manchester United before being signed by Derby County for £1.2 million.

In 2014, Medi admitted twelve counts of fraud and dishonesty at Manchester Crown Court and was jailed for four years.
Explaining that he didn't watch the 2018 series of Love Island as he was behind bars, Medi told The Sun: "I’ve apologised to Georgia.
"I said sorry this has caused such an issue. I think she wanted to understand how it all went wrong for me. She was shocked. Initially she was concerned for me. She was upset. She assumed everyone knew except her."
