They may only be just over one month old, but George and Amal Clooney's newborn twins Ella and Alexander are already having a better time than us.

The twins made their first public 'appearance' earlier this week when their Hollywood power couple parents emerged from their private jet, which had touched down in Milan for a vacation.

Of course, the parents have been keen to keep their new additions out of the public eye (no big reveals via a glossy magazine cover for the Clooneys, who - face it - certainly don't need the publicity boost...) and it was impossible to truly catch a glimpse of the genetically blessed babies, who were each happily ensconsed in an old-fashioned baby basket.

It's thought that the family will head to their Lake Como estate for their summer trip, further proving that little Ella and Alexander are already living the high life. Ah, to be part of a Hollywood dynasty...

Italy is certainly a country that holds special significance for the jetsetting Clooneys. George and Amal first met at a dinner held at Lake Como, and returned to Italy for their wedding the following year, which took place at Venice's Aman Canal Grande resort.
