GBBO contestant Tamal has become a bit of a TV heart-throb during this series of the Great British Bake-Off - and in a new interview, he has revealed he is gay and that he is single.
Fans have been professing their love for the baking maestro on Twitter every Wednesday, so the Radio Times magazine asked Tamal about his relationship status in a new interview.
"I wouldn't have a girlfriend, I would have a boyfriend," Tamal revealed. "But I am single at the moment."
Tamal added that he has had plenty of dating offers via social media during his time on the show.
"Yes, I have had a few offers on Twitter!" he added.
Tamal, who is one of the four bakers remaining in the competition, also talked about his work as a senior house officer at an intensive care unit - and how being on the show was an "icebreaker".
“It's a great icebreaker,” he said. “In the morning I see my patients on that day's operating list, and talking about ‘Bake Off’ helps with the tension a bit.”
"I didn't think the consultants were particularly interested, but I made some muffins recently and they all went mad for them."
Tamal will compete against fellow aspiring bakers, Flora Shedden, Ian Cumming and Nadiya Hussain in the next episode of* GBBO* on Wednesday.
