The Game Of Thrones Stars Royally Approve Of Madonna’s Homage

Madonna

Madonna might be the queen of pop but Game of Thrones' Khaleesi/Daenarys Targaryan is the queen of dragons. So imagine our wonderment when we saw the Material Girl dress in rags, white blonde dreadlocks and adorn herself with baby dragons (we think they were fake, but she is a multimillionaire) to dress up as the teen queen for Jewish holiday Purim. And we weren't alone in our appreciation.

Emilia Clarke, who plays Danaerys, gushed about Madonna: 'Oh my goodness. It's insane. I thought I was asleep, I thought I was dreaming. It's a huge moment. And, damn! She looks good," she told Access Hollywood.'

She wasn't the only actress to big up Madonna's dress-up; Gwendoline Christie, who plays knight Brienne of Tarth, said: 'I got really, really excited. Madonna's always been a favorite of mine,' she said. 'I love her strength and her transformative nature and the idea that she might be dressing up as a brilliant character in the TV show I'm in is pretty exciting.'

She's not the only celebrity to bow down at the altar of the horse-heart-eating Queen of the Red Waste; Grimes is a massive fan of her, to the point where she once changed her Twitter name to Grimes Targaryan. Ever eclectic in her tastes, Grimes is now 'Dali Parton' - gotta love that post-internet ability to juggle several obsessions at once.
