Could we be any more excited?

Bob and Tobly McSmith, the writers behind 90210! The Musical! and Katdashian: The Musical! have announced their off-Broadway show, Friends! The Musical! is moving... to New York.

We KNOW!

The show, a parody of the sitcom, is set to leave its current home in Chicago to travel across the States to the Triad Theatre in NYC and open its doors in autumn later this year.

Whilst it has no 'official' links to the much-loved Nineties series – meaning sadly Jen and Courts are unlikely to tread the boards – news of the musical's Big Apple debut has nonetheless excited fans of the show, for very obvious reasons...

Because who could fail to get excited by the prospect of singing along to such songs as 'The Only Coffee Shop in New York City', 'Hey Ugly Naked Guy Who Lives Across the Street!' and 'Oh. My. God. It’s Janice!'?

It's been 13 years since we officially waved goodbye to Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey and Ross, and whilst rumours of a reunion were all we could talk about last year, the sad confirmation that Friends is ON A BREAK (permanently) put all our hopes to bed.

However...

The announcement of this (sorta) revival has awakened our enthusiasm once again, because if the McSmiths can convince just one former cast member to guest star for even one night (as they've done with their previous musicals) well, what a sight to see that would be...

Parody Joey meets Real Life Joey, live, on-stage, in New York?

Too – many – jokes.

Rest assured, we'll be there for you.
