ICYMI, FKA Twigs has come up with one of the most original (and damn cool) music videos we’ve seen in ages. #throughglass is directed and performed by the artist, as she melds together both Video Girl and Glass & Patron while taking on a variety of different dance styles all using and inspired by Google Glass.

Parts of the video are shot using the futuristic glasses, whereas other elements draw on other references – from staring into huge slabs of reflective glass to adopting different dance styles from tutorials led by others.

To a lot of people, the 26-year-old is primarily famous for dating Robert Pattinson, but she’s quickly cementing herself as one of the coolest, quirkiest artists of the moment. Recent reviews of her gigs have been staggeringly good, and now she’s directed and starred in just over two minutes’ worth of mesmerising, Glass-related dancing.

Yep, the video is a concept created specifically for Google to illustrate what the glasses can do – but it stands alone as a weird, urban, slightly addictive work of art. Check it out FFS.

Currently touring Europe, with Robert Pattinson in tow, her debut LP is on the shortlist for the Mercury prize, and she’s up for three MOBO awards, too. And yes, we love her.
