It looks like the FBI are one step closer to locating the dirtbag(s) responsible for last August’s celebrity nude photo hack, in which dozens of female celebrities had their naked pictures leaked on 4chan.

US website Gawker have obtained a recently unsealed federal search warrant which indicates that the culprits have been narrowed down to at least one Chicago-based man, Emilio Herrera. The site reports that last October numerous computers were seized from his home, with federal agents understanding that they had been used to ‘access or attempted to access without authorization multiple celebrities’ email and iCloud accounts over the course of several months.’ Honestly, mate, have you thought about getting an actual hobby? Someone send him a crochet hook, stat.

It’s alleged that in the year prior to the photo leak, Herrera’s IP address ‘was used to access approximately 572 unique iCloud accounts.’ According to the report, it is likely that the leak was the result of password hacking through phishing emails, with speculation that Abigail Spencer, Christina Hendricks, Hope Solo, Jennette McCurdy, Olivia Wilde, Anna Kendrick, Emily Browning, Amber Heard and Jennifer Lawrence were among the high profile victims.
