You know that terrifying moment when you're at your new boyfriend’s house and you suddenly need the loo (number 2), and you know you're going to have to go only you’ve never actually gone at his place before? Worst thing ever.
Well how’s about a big round of appaluase for Reddit user Putontheglasses’ new fellow, who decided to make her feel better about the whole thing through the medium of Ryan Gosling.
Putonyourglasses explained, ‘After a full day of staying in an eating take out’ (A noble New Years’ day profession if ever we’ve heard of one) ‘I was embarrassed about having to poop at my bfs place for the first time. While doing my business, he slipped this under the door’.
What followed was her boyfriend’s take on the Ryan Gosling ‘Hey Girl’ meme which, while not seen in popular culture for a few months, has now been resurrected in the most spectacular fashion. This one read ‘Hey Girl, you natural bodily functions only make you more beautiful to me’.
I mean wow. If the poor girl was trying to pretend she was just in the loo for anything other than a poo then she definitely got rumbled. But, if she’d passed the allotted amount of time to get away with pretending she was only doing a wee then surely this is the next best thing.
Because while Ryan Gosling staring up at you from the bathroom floor while you do your business might be slightly disconcerting, what this stand up young gentleman has managed to do is single handedly break down the years of embarassment pooing in a relationship can actually take up. Hey, we know couples who've gone years without discussing the whole bathroom thing, only to be forced to confront the subject after a sticky situation involving one hotel bathroom and a spate of food poisoning. Which, as I'm sure you'll agree, is a less than ideal way to broach the subject. We'll take Ryan Gosling over that any time.
