The Duchess of Sussex has appeared in a video promoting her coffee brand - marking her first public appearance since Prince Harry's bombshell memoir.

In the video posted on Clevr's Instagram, Meghan Markle was seen visiting the company headquarters to test out some of the brand's lattes.

Back in 2020, Meghan announced she was backing Clevr, who are a California-based 'wellness brand'.

And fans were quick to thank the star for supporting the brand. One social media user wrote 'I love to see women uplift women,' whilst another added 'Here's to many more years.'

What Is Clevr?

Clevr Blends is a start-up business selling latte powders in match, chai, and coffee flavours.

Originally launched as a pop-up coffee bar for events, the brand eventually pivoted into selling their own supernate products. By simply adding water, Clevr consumers can enjoy 'delicious, nutrient-rich lattes' from their own home.

On their website, Clevr describe themselves as a 'women-led, mission driven wellness company' who source and make all their goods in Santa Barbara, USA.

Who Founded Clevr?

Clevr was founded in 2018 by Hannah Mendoza and Roger Coppola.

Who Owns Clevr?

Co-founder Hannah Mendoza is the current CEO of Clevr Blends. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2014, but it's unknown how old she is.

Do Clevr Only Sell Coffee?

The brand sells café style oat milk lattes - but they aren't the kind you'll pick up at your local coffee shop.

Upgraded with 'brain-boosting, mood-lifting, and mind clearing medicinals', the vegan friendly lattes make the most of adaptogens, mushrooms, and superfoods.

The range of powdered lattes cost $28 (£23) for 14 servings.

Why Is Meghan Markle Doing An Advert For Clevr?

Meghan has been tied to Clevr for years, after becoming the brand's first investor.

Opening up about Meghan's involvement in Clevr Blends, CEO and co-founder Hannah said 'Meghan ended up becoming our first investor, advisor, and biggest Clevr advocate.'

Addressing her decision to invest in Clevr, Meghan said 'Im proud to invest in Hannah's commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and has a holistic approach to wellness.'

Meghan also became involved in sharing Clevr's products with her a-list friends - with Oprah sharing a video on social media of a Clevr hamper she received from 'my neighbour M', and Kim Kardashian speaking out in support of the brand.

How Much Money Did Meghan Invest In Clevr?

It isn't known exactly how much Meghan invested in the wellness start-up.
