Want proof that Emma Stone can make anything work, take a look at the first look at her all Cruella de Vil glory in the first show from Disney’s live-action prequel, Cruella, a back story about everyone’s favourite childhood villain. The film has previously been described as having an "80s punk vibe" and we defintely feel like that is coming across and might be why there is not a fur coat in sight.
The first picture also reveals a look at her right hand men and criminal associates Jasper and Horace too, with Disney teasing on social media: ‘Here’s your first look at Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil in Disney's Cruella. The film, also starring Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, and Joel Fry, comes to theaters May 28, 2021.’
Here’s hoping this remake will be a hit, as Emma’s performance in La La Land earnt her a well-deserved Academy Award. She’s also delighted fans in The Favourite, Crazy, Stupid, Love and Spiderman.
Oh, and she’s reportedly the highest-paid actress in all of Hollywood.
