As this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here begins, viewers will be introduced to a host of famous faces that they might not have seen before. For anyone who doesn't spend hours of their time on social media, that might include one of this year's campmates, GK Barry (whose real name is Grace Keeling). She is an internet personality, presenter and social media influencer.
Grace is also the girlfriend of Ipswich Town footballer, Ella Rutherford. She recently shared a series of pictures of them together with the caption, 'My little jungle babe.' As we prepare to watch GK Barry take on Ant and Dec's grim and gruesome challenges in the jungle, and potentially discuss her relationship with Ella, here's all there is to know about the footballer.
Who is Ella Rutherford?
Ella was born in Kent and is a striker for Ipswich Town women's football club. She has also represented England at the under-15, under-16, under-17 and under-19 levels.
In October, she underwent knee surgery to remove a button that was causing her 'a lot of pain' and has subsequently had to take a short break from playing football.
Ella frequently posts photos from training and football matches on social media, and often shares pictures of her personal life with Grace too.
How old is Ella Rutherford?
Ella is 24 years old. Her girlfriend Grace is 25 years old.
How did Ella Rutherford and GK Barry meet?
Grace followed Ella on social media while Ella was recovering from knee surgery. The footballer joked that she thought 'who is this sexy blonde girl?'. Ella then slide into Grace's DMs and said, 'Is now a good time to tell you how beautiful you are?' and Grace responded, 'it's always a good time.'
On Grace's podcast, Saving Grace, they discussed how difficult it was to organise their first date. Grace kept moving the date and Ella put her foot down, prompting Grace to call her 'a little pest'. Ella has since joked, 'that's the worst thing I've ever been called in my life'.
All was well in the end and Ella recalls skipping home after their first meeting even though she 'couldn't really walk'. She added, 'I felt great after that date. I thought "life's turned around here" and my mum caught me smiling at my phone all the time and said, "who is making you smile?".'
During the podcast episode the couple answered fans' questions about their relationship. One person asked Ella, 'Are you concerned that before you Grace was with men?' and she answered 'no I'm not concerned. Have you seen me?'.
The duo went on to talk about their favourite dates, who is the better cook and what it was like meeting each other's families for the first time. It's safe to say they seem entirely loved up.
How long have Ella Rutherford and GK Barry been together?
While it's not clear exactly when the couple first started dating, things reportedly got more serious between them this summer. A source told The Sun, 'GK has been seeing Ella for a while but they are very much official now. They grew even closer on holiday in Benidorm and GK has met all her family.'
Viewers can expect to see Ella at the end of the I'm A Celeb bridge at some point soon to greet her girlfriend when she leaves the jungle. A self-proclaimed 'WAG', Grace left a bouquet of flowers for Ella as she set off for Australia with a note saying 'I miss you my little pea head angel'.
Ella has also been a regular feature on Grace's TikTok, initially dubbed 'Eyelashes' by Grace in an attempt to hide Ella's identity before the couple went public. Ella earned the name 'Eyelashes' because she has 'the best (fake) eyelashes in town'.
