Ed Sheeran{ =nofollow}and Prince Harry have teamed up for a video in aid of World Mental Health Day. The clip, shared to the Sussex Royal Instagram account, centres around Ed thinking he is meeting the prince because they are both ginger. After the misunderstanding, the pair then share an important message about mental health awareness.

The video starts with Ed getting his beard trimmed, saying that he has long admired the prince from afar. When the pair meet, after Ed has rang a doorbell which has a God Save The Queen tone, the royal jokes: 'It's like looking in the mirror', as both men stare at each other.

After thanking Ed for his visit, the prince says, 'For me, this is a subject of a conversation that’s not talked about enough. I think people all over the world are really suffering.' The singer then admits that he’s been trying to write a song about the subject. And that’s where the misunderstanding occurs. 'With the jokes and the snide comments. I just feel like it's time we stood up and said: ‘We're not going to take this any more. We’re ginger – and we’re going to fight.’’

Harry then says, 'This may be miscommunication but this is about World Mental Health Day{ =nofollow}.' Ed can then be seen deleting "ginger's unite" from a PowerPoint presentation he had started on his laptop.'

The video ends with Harry saying, 'Guys, this Mental Health Day, reach out, make sure your friends, strangers - lookout for anyone who may suffer in silence. We're all in this together.'

Alongside the clip, the caption reads: 'It’s World Mental Health Day! Both Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran want to ensure that not just today but every day, you look after yourself, your friends and those around you. There’s no need to suffer in silence - share how you’re feeling, ask how someone is doing and listen for the answer. Be willing to ask for help when you need it and know that we are all in this together.
