Is it just us or is Ed Sheeran everywhere right now? Pick up your iPhone, Ed Sheeran. Chat to your pals, Ed Sheeran. Switch on Facebook, Ed Bloomin’ Sheeran. Ed, mate, why are you everywhere? And now, his new line of work, he's going to continue to appear everywhere and anywhere.

Everyone’s favourite happy chappy Mr Ed Sheeran will supposedly be appearing on season seven of Game of Thrones. Yes this is actual news that has been confirmed by the GOT producers at the SXSW film festival in Texas. Apparently they’ve been trying to get him on the show for a while now as Maisie Williams is such a big fan and they wanted to surprise her. Isn’t that nice? Yes it is nice, surprises are nice. But we’re not sure we want to be subjected to seeing Ed Sheeran on one of our favourite TV shows with serious acting and serious actors just because Maisie is a fan. Can’t they just get him to perform at her next birthday party or something?

It’s currently unknown what role he will have, but Ed did confirm his appearance on Twitter. Oh my my my. Perhaps his role will be to ride one of the ships of Westeros and then accidentally on purpose get in the sea. That’s probably too harsh, and while we have no problem with Ed Sheeran he is definitely taking up a bit too much of our time (read: newsfeed) at the moment.

Sorry, Ed, we're sure you're a great actor but our watch might just end if you end up on our TV screens too.
