This weekend rumours were circling that Charlie's Angels is getting a reboot, with Elizabeth Banks as director. When we interviewed Drew Barrymore at a Sunglasses Hut London Fashion Week event we had to ask if she knows any more about the remake.
Drew said to* Grazia Daily*: "Of course I do! I can't say anything. But the idea of a woman getting in there and directing it I'm very excited about that and it's possibly time for a reboot and refresh so it's very potentially exciting."
As for who would play the new angels Drew said: "I don't know! Well whether it's a Charlie's angel or at a sunglasses event I am hanging out with one of my biggest girl crushes, Georgia May Jagger and it turns out she's just as lovely as I thought she'd be!"
Drew was in London for the premiere of her new film* Miss You Already.* Drew said to Grazia Daily of the red carpet game: "I am like fashion roadkill half the time and I'm ok with it. I can't tell you how many times I get it wrong but you can't take it too seriously. I'll think it's the best look I've ever done and other people won't like it, or I think it's not great and other people will like it so who cares? The best you can do is have fun and wear what you like and enjoy it and know it's not going to be perfect every time."
Drew said she wished the red carpet could be less bland: "It's hard because it's made such a criticial sport. Where is Bjork? Cher? Barbara Streisand? Where is the crazy fun? Everyone has got too safe and I think we should go back to really being ourselves and not caring what everybody says. That's what the red carpet is - a spectacle - if it's all just pretty and netural and safe it's lost the whole intention in the first place.Use it is an excuse to get dressed up work it and build a character, be inspired by an era."
