In recent years, Marie Kondo has become the go-to person when it comes to organising, spring cleaning and refreshing our lives. She has fans all over the world. But we think Drew Barrymore - the award-winning star of ET, Never Been Kissed and Charlie's Angels - might just be the biggest Marie Kondo super fan of all time, because following the original cleanfluencer's ways of removing clutter is clearly sparking lots of joy.
This week Drew - who now hosts her own talk show - sprung into spring by clearing her capacious closet at her Manhattan home, said to be worth more than $8 million dollars. That's how much the apartment is worth, not the closet, naturally.
'It's March 1', she announced in a video posted online. 'I am a woman on the edge. I am going to Marie Kondo my life. I'm going to do "spring cleaning" and hope that it gives me a sense of control because this is the only thing I can control. And everything feels out of control. And control is bumper rails and hopefully it's to boundaries and safety - if I can get that out of cleaning the main closet then how exciting is that? Happy spring cleaning. May it bring whatever you are looking for!'

This, however, is not the first time that Drew has expressed a love for Marie, whose Netflix show and books have transformed the way in which millions of people live their lives. Drew even had Marie as a guest on her chat show last October, telling her - via Marie's interpreter, of course - that she was her 'stalker fan.'

'You’ve changed the way I look at life,' Drew continued. 'You’ve truly mastered the KonMari method,' Marie responded. 'It’s really easy to accumulate a lot of items and clutter. But in those instances I work with [my] children. It’s very important that at a young age they understand what it means to spark joy and what sparks joy to them.'
