Drew Barrymore has officially filed for divorce from husband of four year Will Kopelman, according to a report from New York Daily News.
The pair, who have two children together, Olive, 3, and Frankie, 2, announced their intention to legally separate in April.
Barrymore has been married three times, and recently spoke to Chelsea Handler about the pain of going through divorce. "When you break up with somebody, you're like, 'Yeah, that didn't work,' [but] when you get divorced you're like, 'I'm the biggest failure. This is the biggest failure,'" she said on Handler’s chat show.
"It's so shameful and hard to actually go through that, even privately."

Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman have confirmed their separation in a joint statement.
"Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family," they said in their statement to People magazine.
"Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on."
"Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority."
Apparently there was growing friction between the pair over where they should be based, on the East or West Coast of America.

The couple currently live on the Upper East Side of New York with their two girls Olive, 3, and Frankie, 1.
The actress has just had a new tattoo of her daughters’ names on her wrist, which she shared on Instagram two days ago.
