Demi Lovato has just taken to Twitter to accuse Lady Gaga of promoting bulimia chic in the name of art following her kind of disturbing and certainly gross SXSW performance. In case you missed it, Gaga performed her song Swine with her friend and performance artist Millie Brown and during her performance she shouted ‘I won’t play by your fucking rules, this is our world!’ before letting Millie throw up neon green paint all over her.
Demi Lovato, who’s struggles with eating disorders and addiction are well documented, has accused Gaga of ‘glamourising’ bulimia, taking to Twitter to point out that forcing the Millie to vomit all over her on stage was not ‘cool’ or ‘arty’ in any way. She said that ‘putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences’ adding that ‘young people who are struggling to figure out their identities are seriously influenced by the things they see their idols do.’
Although on a sweet note, she does end by saying she's still a Little Monster despite her reservations about the show...
Sad... As if we didn't have enough people glamorizing eat disorders already. □ Bottom line, it's not "cool" or "artsy" at all.

Would you let someone bring a needle and shoot up on you? Addiction is addiction.
