Davide Sanclimenti has broken his silence after it was revealed that his girlfriend Iris Au is facing up to three years in prison over a tax row.
Au, 35, has pled guilty after failing to report ill-gotten gains from her ex-boyfriend’s criminal cryptocurrency activities. The Love Island winner Sanclimenti, 30, has vowed to stand by his girlfriend – who he went public with in January.
He told MailOnline, ‘How The Italian Stallion stole the girl from the Godfather with the LAPD on a speed deal… this sounds like a Hollywood blockbuster.
‘The truth is that I knew about her situation from the start which is why I was protecting her. Iris is an amazing person who has been through difficult situations that most people could never understand. There's so much of this extraordinary story that people don’t know yet. I will be there by her side to supply her as she deserves all the support and understanding.’
Doubling down on his comments, he posted a loved-up image of himself and Au on Instagram, captioning it, ‘Only a true gentleman could have saved the Godfather’s girl… The Italian Stallion and The Goddess.’
Who is Davide Sanclimenti’s girlfriend?
Iris Au is a 35-year-old entrepreneur who describes herself as a ‘visions developer and accidental investor’.
She is nicknamed The Goddess due to her links with her ex-boyfriend Adam Iza, who is known as The Godfather.
Iza, 24, agreed to plead guilty to federal criminal charges, including conspiracy against rights, wire fraud and tax evasion, in January according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A statement from the United States Attorney’s Office states, ‘Iza hired off-duty LASD deputies to act as his personal enforcers against his enemies. As part of the conspiracy to violate civil rights, Iza would have the deputies assist him in carrying out extortion, intimidation, setting people up for arrest, and abuse of legal process.’
Iza also admitted to stealing more than $37million (£28,537,602) by fraudulently gaining access to Meta Platforms Inc. business manager accounts and their associated lines of credit from 2020 to 2022.
He will be sentenced on 16 June and faces up to 35 years in prison.

Au is being charged with failing to report gains she obtained from Iza’s criminal cryptocurrency activities. She has agreed to pay a federal tax charge for failing to report $2.6million (£2,004,886) in crypto income which she illegally gained from Iza’s criminal activities.
It is reported she will appear at the United States District Court in Los Angeles in the coming days.
