How old is she and where is she from?
Good question. Daisy is 22 - but, shocker: she isn't Irish. She was born in London and grew up in Muswell Hill, and she still lives in the city now. In an interview with Grazia, she revealed a bit more about how she learnt the accent. 'I didn’t find it too difficult because I had a good acting coach,' she said. 'I listened to Sally [Rooney, the author] speaking a lot, she has a very eloquent way of speaking, and Marianne is a bit posher than her Sligo friends.'
Who are her parents?
Daisy's father, Philip, is the director of Sky Arts, and was the Creative Director and Executive Producer of Big Brother. Her mum, Wendy, is a film editor. Daisy says their input has been invaluable, telling Porter Magazine that her deaden particular has given her lots of advice. 'My dad had a really good insight into handling some form of spotlight,' she says. 'He gave me the "talk of doom", he called it, which was something they used to do to Big Brother contestants, where they’d give you a talk on what fame was like: "Keep your head screwed on, keep your feet on the floor, don’t get too swept up in something; you’re still you, you haven’t changed, even if people around you might.’" Good advice, dad.
What else has she been in?
She might only be 22, but already Daisy has had quite the career. She had a supporting role in the serialised War of the Worlds, she starred as Olivia Marsden in the Cold Feet reboot, and she also featured in Gentleman Jack as Delia Rawson. Oh, and she appeared in an Outnumbered Christmas special.
