It's almost been a year since it was announced Colin Firth was splitting from Livia, his wife of 22 years. The pair had reunited after Livia admitted to an affair with Italian journalist Marco Brancaccia during the time Colin and Livia were separated in 2015-2016. But it wasn't to be, and their spokesperson confirmed they had split in December 2019. They added that they remained friends and remained 'united in the love for their children'.
However, now, it appears Colin may have found a new romance. Reports state that he has been spotted out on a park walk with BBC newsreader Joanna Gosling. Naturally, newspapers are noting the similarity to Bridget Jones' Diary, as both Bridget and Joanna work in television and Colin, of course, played the slightly tightly wound but overall charming Mark Darcy in the rom-com trilogy. Neither Colin nor Joanna responded to requests for comment.
