Coleen Rooney has reportedly given her support to Danny Jones’ wife Georgia after the McFly star was caught on camera allegedly kissing Maura Higgins, at a Brit Awards after party earlier this month.
The two were filmed allegedly kissing following the music industry awards as at a party thrown by McFly’s former record label Universal. The Sun published the video online, alongside claims the pair stayed together in a hotel until 6am.
Danny, who won the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! – on which he starred alongside Coleen and Maura – has since made a public apology to Georgia, who he married in 2014.
He wrote on social media last week, ‘Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.
‘I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.’
Georgia and Maura are yet to comment publicly on the matter.
Following Danny’s post, it has been reported that Coleen, also 38, who is married to former footballer Wayne Rooney, has offered her support to her former jungle campmate’s wife after her own fatties was hit withinfidelity allegations during her own marriage.
A source told The Mirror, ‘Coleen knows how it feels to be in Georgia’s position. She’s been there with Wayne when it comes to public scandals, so she can imagine what she will be going through. She does really feel for Georgia and feels like she’s been there and got the T-shirt.’
However, it seems that Coleen is also being supportive of Danny, who beat her in the final of last year’s I’m A Celebrity…, as she shared a photo of him playing the guitar with one of her sons to mark the star’s birthday last week.
Alongside the sweet image, Coleen wrote, ‘Have a great day’, adding a ‘happy birthday’ sticker.
