Cole Sprouse has graced our TV screens since he was a teeny tiny kid. Since playing Ben, Ross Gellar’s son in Friends (which, by the way, he started playing when he was 8 months old) he’s gone on to star in The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody, and now he’s playing Jughead in Netflix’s Riverdale – something I was completely unaware of until this morning. Did everyone else in the world know this or are you as shocked as I am?
Cole recently spoke to the New York Post about his past acting jobs, and about his massive, massive crush on Jennifer Aniston. Casual, we’ve all been there I’m sure.
‘I had a really, really hard time working with Aniston because I was so in love with her. I was infatuated. I was speechless – I’d get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank…it was so difficult.’
So not only did this little guy have to play David Schwimmer son for seven episodes in one of the biggest TV shows on the planet, he also had to hide his crush from one of the biggest Hollywood stars on the planet. That’s quite possibly the most adorable thing I have heard all week. He’s such a pro.
Cole also went on to talk about working on the set of* Friends* as a kid, stating that the scale was ‘tremendous, and you felt it when you stepped on set, even as a kid.’ ‘But it was a really wonderful experience. They were all tremendously nice,’ he added.
Excuse us why we go watch re-runs of Friends, obviously with episodes of Ben in so we can watch out for any crush symptoms.
