Some sad news for your timeline: Chrissy Teigen has deleted her Twitter account. While we might miss her hilarious tweets, we can totally understand why she's made the decision, as Chrissy said in a series of tweets that she is 'deeply bruised’ from some of the trolling she has received during her 10 years on the platform.
Announcing her decision, Chrissy wrote, 'Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends. But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something.'
'My life goal is to make people happy,' she continued. 'The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me. I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not.'
Chrissy then added that she has changed following her time on Twitter{
She then signed off before her account was deleted, reminding her followers to be kinder. 'I also hate you. I encourage you to know and never forget that your words matter. No matter what you see, what that person portrays, or your intention,' she said. 'For years I have taken so many small, 2-follower count punches that at this point, I am honestly deeply bruised.'
Over the past decade, Chrissy has entertained us on Twitter - her reviews of Love Island UK were iconic - but she has also used her platform to be incredibly candid and honest. Last year, Chrissy shared emotional images following her recent miscarriage, which were widely praised (and were very harshly trolled by some).
Thankfully, though, if you don't follow her already, she is still active on Instagram @chrissyteigen.
