Understandably, there just isn’t enough room for all the awards in Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s house. Legend has a whopping not one, not two, but ten Grammys - and Teigen had to take action when she was awarded the Giving Tree Award at the 2019 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday night.
Posting a hilarious video to Twitter, while still dressed in a glittering sage gown, the activist moved two of the singer’s famous Grammys off their shelf to make way for her trophy.
As CNN reports, Teigen was honored on Saturday night for her dedication to charity Baby2Baby. The initiative, which is supported by Meghan Markle, has an aim of providing nappies and clothes to children in poverty in Los Angeles, and in disaster areas across the US. (The Duchess of Sussex listed Baby2Baby as a charity people could donate to for her wedding.)
Receiving her award, Teigen said on stage, ‘I feel honored to be honored. No kid should go hungry. No kid should not go without the basics in their home.’ She later added on Twitter, 'Thank you to @baby2baby for honoring me with your Giving Tree award tonight! We raised a shit ton of money AND I got to say titties in my speech.'
Kate Hudson, Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Garner were also at the event, where Paula Abdul performed.
