Oh, how we love a starstruck celebrity. Chrissy Teigen proved she was one of us last week when she couldn't contain her excitement after meeting Beyoncé. The model - who met Queen Bey at the singer's private Oscar after party at the Chateau Marmont - wrote on Instagram:
‘Changed for the night!! @Beyonce if there is any, any way you’re reading this please just know I stare at you and don’t talk because I am truly so nervous to say something stupid, but we love you and thank you so much!!!’
We couldn’t relate more. It isn't the first time Chrissy, who is known for being the queen of social media, has met the singer. Talking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in 2018, Chrissy revealed that she had greeted Beyoncé at the Grammies by kneeling down as though she was royalty – I mean, you’re not wrong there. Chrissy later told Beyoncé how mortified she was: ‘On our way out, I was like, ‘We have to say something, right?’, she said. ‘There’s nothing like seeing Beyoncé,’ she adds. ‘I took her hands and got down on my knees and I was like, ‘Sorry to bother you, my Queen.’’
If we ever get to meet Bey (please god), at least we all know what not to do.. Here's hoping that's the last of the awkward run ins for Chrissy.
