Teen actress Chloe Moretz might have been spotted a few times out and about with David and Victoria Beckham's oldest son, 15-year-old Brooklyn, but the 17-year-old insists that they're not dating, because she doesn't even know what it is right now.
She told The Sunday Times: 'I don’t even know what dating is at this point. It’s all so stupid… why can’t you just hang out with each other? Go to dinner if you want to? Why can’t you go skateboarding if you want to go skateboarding with a guy?'
What isn't stupid, though, is her no-nonsense approach to the big defining relationship in her life so far – the one between her parents. 'My dad decided to go a little bit crazy and leave our family,' she tells the interviewer, shaking her head when asked if she's still in touch with him and adding: 'He’s just not a good guy [her mum had cancer at the time of him leaving]'
'Some people are just bad people and there’s no saving them, y’know? They do it to themselves. From the age of 13, I’ve pretty much had a life with a single mom, and my brother Trevor has been my father. Even when my dad was there, he was always in and out, working a lot. I never really knew him.'
Apparently he's still in touch: 'But I'd rather not be used.'
Though the interviewer says there is something 'cultish' about Chloe's life – her two brothers live off of her as her coach and business manager and she seems to believe in a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding education and, more sinisterly, the Sandy Hook massacre – she's adamant that she won't end up going wrong.

Speaking about all the money she's earned as a child actress and is set to gain access to when she turns 18 in six months, she insists it won't make her go bad: 'I would be locked up in a closet and chained to the floor and force-fed vitamins if that ever happened to me!'
Well, good to know that she's got her head screwed on with this one. We're not sure we're quite ready to see her go off the rails yet. Plus, if she was saying the c-word aged 10 in *Kick Ass, *what would going off the rails even involve?
