We'd imagine that filming Lars Von Triers's latest movie Nymphomaniac would, in general, as a whole, register quite high on the humiliation scale. But the film's star, Charlotte Gainsbourg, has singled one part out in particular as being the hardest (no pun intended, really).
'I think, just in regards to the sexual things, the fellatio was hardest,' Ms Gainsbourg told Vanity fair at the movie's premiere in the US.
'Because it’s very intimate, and there was something quite humiliating about the whole thing', she added.
Of course, it wasn't real life fellatio (not that that hasn't happened in movies, as anyone who's seen that scene in Vincent Gallo's Brown Bunny will tell you). This was pure acting.
'[It wasn't] a real dick,' Gainsbourg laughed. At least she's still got a sense of humour about it.
