Despite only giving themselves three months to plan their dream wedding, supermodel Chanel Iman and New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepherd still managed to pull off a superlatively beautiful ceremony this weekend, with the bride wearing a stunning gown by red carpet favourite Zuhair Murad.

Turning to stylist Anita Patrickson to help her find her ideal gown, the pair settled on a wedding dress by the Lebanese designer, who Iman has worn several times before. Known for his intricate illusion dresses made from lace, he was the perfect choice for a sexy yet demure bridal look.

‘We've worked together for over five years so she has a real understanding of what I gravitate towards,’ Iman told Brides magazine. ‘I really love simple, elegant silhouettes and I really wanted to find a classic gown for my ceremony.’

The dress featured a low-cut key-hole neckline and sheer skirt with floral lace overlay, as well as a chic cape that covered her shoulders. ‘I feel very lucky to have gotten married in one of his gorgeous creations,’ she said. ‘I never really envisioned wearing something like that for my wedding. But the moment we put it on, we all loved it! It was so chic and unusual but also felt a little vintage.’

She finished off her bridal look with Neil Lane drop earrings and a veil that was also by Zuhair Murad. Meanwhile, the groom wore a Boss tuxedo, while bridesmaids including Jourdan Dunn wore white gowns by Watters. Iman changed into a second Zuhair Murad dress for after the ceremony, a v-neck sheer dress with petal applique details.

Guests at the nuptials included Chrissy Teigen, Gabrielle Union and Joan Smalls, as well as the rest of the New York Giants, of course.
