While we loved Viktor and Rolf’s meme-tastic gowns, Ellie Saab’s dreamy sequins and Chanel’s diamond-encrusted swimming caps, the real highlight of Paris’ Haute Couture Week was Celine Dion.
Gasping at ruffles, crying at high fashion theatrics and clutching not-boyfriend-just-friend Pepe Munoz, Celine Dion is the one person we look out for every season. She not only brings her fashion A-game every time; wearing Alexandre Vauthier dresses with thigh-high splits and shimmery grey power suits, but you get the sense when watching her that she really does love couture, and as all eyes are on her, her eyes remain firmly fixed on the fashion.

The origins of Dion’s love for fashion is one thing that we hope is covered in a new biopic slated for release in 2020. The Power Of Love has been approved by the singer, and will be directed by French star Valérie Lemercier who will also play Dion.
Lemercier says she was moved when reading about Dion’s relationship with her late husband René Angélil, and her mother, who she wrote her first song with.
‘I discovered the strength of their love story and their great humour,’ she said. ‘And I better understood how the alchemy of their three individual ambitions made an unwanted little girl the greatest star on the planet.’
‘[Lemercier] is a powerhouse who knows how to move and how to dance’ Cécile Gaget of French studio Gaumont said of the film. ‘And she’s a perfectionist and an overachiever in many ways like Dion.’
The biopic will cover Celine Dion’s upbringing with her 13 siblings in Quebec, teenage rise to fame and marriage to René Angélil.
