As much of the world stays indoors due to coronavirus, turning to conference calls and Skype sessions, it seems that some celebrities are using a period of quarantine to their own advantage. According to a famous surgeon, A-Listers have been in touch to see if now is the perfect time for a facelift.

Terry Dubrow, who appears on US show Botched, tells TMZ that he has been inundated with calls, asking for procedures. He does not name names, but specifies that there are high profile individuals among the callers. The logic, he explains, is that some see it as an opportunity to have surgery while the world is not watching, with self-isolation offering an opportunity to recover and heal without risking being spotted by paparazzi or scrutinised by trolls.

'As incredible as it sounds, it's actually true', Terry explains. 'It's like with Christmas vacation. We're getting calls, particularly from Beverly Hills, celebrities and high profile people. In Orange County, we're still open. A lot of them want their facelifts, that they were waiting for a break between movies to do.'

Needless to say, he is not recommending it. 'I'm putting a hold on that', he says. 'I would tell patients to hold off. It's smart to not to any procedures. What happens if there is a complication and you have to go to hospital?'

Then again, it doesn't mean he's closed up shop. 'Maybe do some botox!', he adds. Good to know!
