Today the world of entertainment is remembering Caroline Flack, who tragically died a year ago. Friends such as Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling, along with legions of fans, have paid tribute to the former Love Island presenter who took her own life aged 40.
Iain, the voiceover for Love Island, shared a photo of the pair, with the caption: 'To my friend Caroline, thinking of you today. Miss you mate x' Meanwhile, Laura, who hosted the last series of Love Island, shared some snaps together, along with a quote which read: 'You've got to laugh a little. Cry a little. Until the clouds roll a little.'
Her manager, Nathan Charles Smith, also shared some behind-the-scenes videos of Caroline laughing on a shoot. Meanwhile, Rita Ora shared 'in a world where you can be anything, be kind' alongside a selfie of the pair. The quote is one of Caroline's last posts on Instagram before her passing, which is one that has been repeated today.
The official Love Island account has also marked the anniversary, posting an image which said: 'Remembering Caroline 1979-2020. Always in our hearts'.
Caroline died at her home in north east London on February 15, 2020. An inquest last August heard that Caroline took her own life after learning that prosecutors were going to press ahead with an assault charge against her. Her ex-boyfriend, Lewis Burton - who said he never pressed charges against Caroline - also remembered the star today, sharing a photo of the pair together on his Instagram story.
