Some might say that Cara Delevingne and her perma-gurn are over-exposed. And now it seems Cara herself pretty much agrees that the paps being there to click away on their cameras and turn her every walking moment into a 'Cara goes outside and wears a beanie!' article has become unbearable. When asked in an interview if she'd like to punch a pap, she responded: 'I'd love to, I really would, I'd be so happy, I dream about it at night.'

She also explained how modern day fandom is a lot more intens eand obsessive than back when the 21-year-old was growing up: 'I was fans of so many people in music and acting, but it's a different kind of fandom now, it's like they're obsessed. They find one person they obsess over and they follow them – they have to know everything about their lives, because you have that access, Instagram and Twitter, you can literally be a part of their lives. So they get one person and that's it. It's really changed things. It's kind of scary really.'

Of course, growing up, she came from the sort of well-connected background where celebrities were kind of normal. So normal, in fact, that one day when Madonna came round, Cara didn't speak to her because she 'was too busy watching TV', The Guardian reports.

Refreshingly, she doesn't see modelling as the be-all and end-all of hers, or anyone's existence. Cara maintains that she'd never recommend anyone else try to follow in her footsteps: 'I get a lot of girls who say, "I just want to be a model so badly. "And I think: you can do better than that. I mean, look, I do love it, I'm not saying anything bad about it, I just think you can do a lot more. I was incredibly lucky to do as well as I've done, it's not easy, there's so many models go through so much shit, and it's just, if you have a brain, which everyone does, use it and try to do something else.'

As well as her frequent hashtag activism on Instagram and forays into music, she also means acting, which she does later on this week in Playhouse Presents… Timeless, on Thursday 19 June at 9pm on Sky Arts. We wouldn't normally plug so hard, but we personally can't wait to see if she's as great at acting as she is at modelling.
