We know Cara Delevingne can sing – she showcased some pretty amazing vocal talents when she sang Sun Don’t Shine with Will Heard last year, and now word is that she’s recorded a song with Pharrell and it’s going to be unleashed guerilla-style very shortly.
The pair have been working on it for eight months (which seems like a really long time, but that’s what the reports say) and she and Pharrell have apparently made an accompanying video in Parislast month.
They’ve been friends for a while, having worked together on a Vogue shoot and posed with one another on various red carpets etc, plus they’ve got loads of friends in common too, like Rihanna, for example.
The single is just another creative string in Cara’s talented bow. The 22-year-old’s already acted in Kids In Love, set in Notting Hill, and has signed up to star alongside Cressida Bonas in the Harvey Weinstein-produced Tulip Fever, based on the Deborah Moggach novel in which an artist falls in love with a young married woman whose portrait he is painting.
It doesn’t seem like she’s trying to leave behind modelling either: she’s still walking all the major shows and starring in mega-campaigns, including Burberry and DKNY. And she’s currently ranked 15th on Forbes highest paid models list.
We have no idea what the song sounds like, but with Pharrell at the helm you can be sure it’s going to be ace, so we just cannot wait to see what they come up with.
