Cara Delevingne’s sleeping patterns have become headline news since Plum Sykes from US Vogue revealed the model was 20 minutes late for an interview. SO far, so unexciting – this is, we don’t have to remind you, someone who flies internationally weekly, acts, records music and is paid to stay up all night partying. What was slightly more unusual was, upon arrival of the interview, Cara suggested they go for a massage and then fell asleep again. Slightly odd, but she did apologise saying ‘I’m sorry! I fall asleep everywhere!’

Cue an onslaught of media speculation about the mental state of the model, with some suggesting Cara’s ‘hard partying’ ways were getting in the way of her career. What is clear, however, is that sleep had suddenly become a political issueand the simple act of getting a bit of shut-eye was being peddled as a symptom of something far more serious. Was Cara on drugs? Was Cara not taking the interview seriously enough? Is Cara over-worked? Is Cara actually insane? In the midst of all these questions, it seems that very few people actually asked the one, screamingly obvious question – was Cara just tired?

After her initial, uncharacteristically wound-up response on Twitter, Cara came out yesterday to answer that question in the most Cara way imaginable. Yesterday, the 21 year-old has been photographed running errands with a slogan t –shirt which read ‘I am not a morning person’. That's it, message received.

Nice to see she's back to her old self and not stressing out about the whole thing. Maybe she's benefiting from a good eight hours?
