Prince George and Princess Charlotte are facing some royal competition in the cute stakes from their Monacan counterparts Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques.
The 3-year-old twins, who are the first children of Prince Albert II and his wife Princess Charlene, were recently photographed ahead of the holiday season sitting next to the Christmas tree at the Palais Princier.
The adorable toddlers are dressed for the occasion, with Gabriella wearing a festive red dress with bow detail while Jacques is very smart in a white shirt and trousers. Gabriella seems a little more unsure than her brother, and clutches a nativity scene, but Jacques beams from ear-to-ear, clearly comfortable with this posing thing. It’ a role reversal of last year’s family snap, which featured their parents too, when Gabriella is ecstatic and Jacques a little nervous.
The twins, who are the grandchildren of Grace Kelly, recently celebrated their third birthday on 10 December with a weekend of festivities at the palace. According to People magazine, Gabriella received a Barbie and dream house, while Jacques was given a Hot Wheels car and launcher. We bet Prince George would be jealous of the latter – all he wants for Christmas is a police car, after all.
The heirs-to-the-throne were last seen appearing on the royal balcony during Monaco’s National Day, waving at well-wishers like pros. They also received their first haircut - another cut moment documented on mum Princess Charlene's official Instagram. Ahh!
