Members of the royal family are often called upon to help promote the fashion brands in their native countries. From Kate Middleton wearing Alexander McQueen for her wedding, to Princess Victoria of Sweden wearing H&M, there’s an onus on figureheads to rep their home-grown talent abroad. One royal with an easy task in this respect is Queen Letizia of Spain, who can turn to everyone’s high street favourite Zara when she needs to support Spanish fashion.
She did just that yesterday, stepping out in a floral printed midi dress with long sleeves and round neckline, which she teamed with burgundy court shoes and simple earrings. The perfect winter dress is still available to buy online, retailing at a bargainous £69.99. If the Spanish royal’s fashion credentials are anything like our own Duchess of Cambridge, then we’re sure it’s likely to sell out pretty quickly.

Queen Letizia is often praised for her chic sense of style, with comparisons between her and Kate Middleton reaching a fever pitch during a recent royal visit to the UK. Many fashion pundits were won over by the Spaniard, with some even claiming that she was better-dressed than her British counterpart. Her favourite designers include Hugo Boss, Carolina Herrera and of course Mango and Zara, which she frequently wears for formal occasions too.
When Kate and William announced their engagement in 2010, Kate wore a sapphire blue Issa dress.
