Well, the brand is continually trying to diversify its image by introducing a more varied range of dolls in their Role Models collection which features dolls from the Barbie Inspiring Women series (like Frida Kahlo) and Barbie Sheros from previous years (like gymnastics champion Gabby Douglas).
Barbie* *dolls resembling American snowboarder Chloe Kim, British boxer Nicola Adams and Polish journalist Martyna Wojciechowska are now on sale, as additions to the brand’s already pretty diverse group which includes American plus-size model Ashley Graham and Chinese ballet dancer Yuan Yuan Tan.

The new Barbie Sheros for 2018 have been released ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8th and are available to order now on the Barbie website.
